About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Casual Chef to join our team on an as-needed basis. This role suits someone who enjoys flexible work, can adapt quickly to different kitchen environments, and is confident working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to venue standards and menu requirements
  • Maintain high levels of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Assist with menu prep, stock rotation, and managing kitchen inventory
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
  • Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, organised, and compliant with regulations
  • Step in during busy periods, staff shortages, events, or special functions
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house and management teams
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar role
  • Strong culinary skills and ability to work across different cuisines (preferred)
  • Food Safety Certificate (mandatory)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and event days
  • Punctual, professional, and team-oriented attitude
